Our new customers often ask us about pricing, classes, and more. These are a few of our most frequently asked questions. If you don’t see your question below, don’t worry; simply email us your questions.

  • What kind of Covid-19 procedures are you taking?

    • Social distancing is now part of the experience! You can place your mat in marked locations that provide adequate space. Space is limited, SO PLEASE SIGN UP AHEAD OF TIME.
    • Masks must be worn at all times when you’re not on your mat. Our community has family and friends who are vulnerable to COVID, and we want everyone to feel safe practicing with us.
    • We are not offering rental mats. Please bring your own mat.
    • We do have props (blocks, straps, and blankets). We clean them after each class.
    • Before each class, we disinfect high-touch surfaces: like door handles and bathroom fixtures. We also mop the floor with disinfectant.
    • Some classes will be offered outdoors in our new backyard (weather permitting).
    • We use infrared heat to help kill bacteria in the air and to reduce dust and germs.
  • What do you mean by “pay-what-you-can”?

    Pay-what-you-can is our way of bringing yoga to more people, regardless of income. We have suggested donation prices for classes but ultimately you choose how much you pay for a class. Your donation will go to the studio expenses and covering the cost of the teacher instructing the class.

  • What kind of yoga do you teach?

    Dragon Yoga teaches alignment-based, heart-centered yoga asana in both the vinyasa and hatha yoga styles, suited to meet the expectations and demands of the 21st century practitioner and marketplace. Dragon Yoga embraces diversity, innovation, adaptation, and an all-inclusive vision of accessibility designed to empower it’s students. ls Dragon Yoga emphasizes clear & detailed cues, proper set-up, and safety as the foundation for a strong yoga practice.

  • Is it hot?

    It is moderately heated to help loosen the muscles but not HOT.

  • What kind of yoga background do I need?

    NONE! We want to share yoga with everyone. That is why we opened the Pay-What-You-Can studio. Dragon Yoga is a comfortable, judgement-free space where you can learn proper yoga and some tools to help you deal with the stresses of life through asana, pranayama and meditation.

  • How can I sign up for a class?

    Through the Wellness Living Achieve App

  • How should I dress?

    In comfortable workout clothes that don’t restrict movement.

  • What do I need to bring to class?

    You, your mat, water, a towel

  • Can I rent a mat or towels?

    Not at the moment. With COVID we are strongly recommending you bring your own mat.

  • How early should I arrive to class?

    We suggest 10-15 minutes before so you can get checked in and settle into your mat without feeling rushed.

    There is parking in front of the building, on the side of the building as well. Also all of Western Avenue District is free street parking.

  • What is a Kula?

    Kula is a Sanskrit word that can be translated as “community,” “clan” or “tribe.” This word is sometimes used by the yoga community to denote the sense of inclusion and belonging that can be cultivated through yogis coming together to practice yoga.

  • What class should I start with?

    Our foundational class is called The Dragon, and it will help you get the basics right. We recommend it for those who have never tried yoga. It develops proper alignment by performing several primary postures that will be taught in all of our other classes. This class makes heavy use of precise cues that set you up for success. Though it’s great for beginners, this class never gets easy, and even advanced yogis benefit from it. As you become more aware of your alignment and your breath, this class will challenge you in ways you never expected. You will build strength, flexibility and mental toughness.
